About the Page:

The site is not based on any full-scale template like you see on many other sites. There is some basic html from Cumulus, the software I use to capture data from the Davis console.

I became interested in weather as a young boy growing up in Hot Springs, AR in the 60s,
checking out a book from the local library that taught one how to make weather instruments out of every day items.

The site and station remains a work in progress.

On Memorial Day Weekend 2013 I switched to Cumulus software and made some page revisions.

On 8 June 2013 I installed a wireless Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus with a Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield.

On 9 June 2013 at 5:01 PM I began using the Data from the Davis to transmit to this and other websites and unplugged the Oregon Scientific. On 11 June 2013 at about 5 PM initial data for CWOP (ew2975) was sent

On 19 June data started appearing on MesoWest. On the 20th the initial MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System) quality marks appeared with all parameters earning two thumbs up paving the way for data to be utilized by the NWS.

Last maintenance was performed March 2016. The motor/fan assembly in the FARS was replaced. The anemometer was replaced.

Then and Now pictures posted 25 June 2013.
